wanted lucas carbide gas generator

looking for a Lucas carbide gas generator model 62 also need a source for the hose that pipes the components . I believe the line is cloth covered and has some orange threads in it would appreciate any help. is there a vender in the UK that has parts for carbide lights can't find much here in the US...

The Johnson brothers made these motors as part of a kit from 1917 to 1924. but found they couldn't compete with Fords model T ,so they turned it on it's side and made a successful business selling out board motors. thanks for the carb repair source JIM

source for carb repair

is there a source for vintage carburetter repair ? I have an ANMAC 30hypj on my Johnson motor wheel known as a ECONOMIC in the UK .the slides stick due to ware . haven't been able to locate any replacement parts . the carb has a 3/4 dia. bore

I finally got my 1950 sq 4 back together.( locked up the timing side bearing) ran it for a couple blocks and blew the head gasket before I could re torque. needless to say things haven't beer going well . now its together again, starts easily start and run good but seams way to hot I have one of the...

i went back thru the carb again keeping all your suggestion in mind. and now it doesen;t leak. i think turning the float bowel all the way to the rear,thus lowering the height of bowl was the key. thanks JIM

My 1953 VHA is eng sn xd 212 frame is ad 376. i read some where that the last VHA was engine sn x327 . does any one know how many VHAs were produced in 1952 and 1953? would be nice to know. i also wonder how many are still around any info will be appreciated JIM

dave something i didn"t think about i"ll take a look. brenton is right that it only leaks when its sitting. the vibartion causes it to seal thanks jim

The AMIL carb. #298 leaks, floads, when the bike is sitting, i"ve tryed different float needles ,no change . i even tried lapping with valve compoud. works if you turn it upside down and blow ,but assembled on the bike it doesn't seem like the pressure of the fuel on the float is sufficent to s...

BRENTON DOES THE 53 3PLATE LOOK LIKE THE ATTACHED PICTURE? LOOKS TO BE MADE OF THREE PIECES ,THE MOUNTING HOLES TO THE MUD GUADR ARE 11 1/2 " ON CENTER
